Anonymous product interest
When you press the interest button, the site stores an aggregate count for the Honey Chocolate Bar. Honey Chocolate Co. does not store your IP address or user agent with that signal. Cloudflare may process network and security data as part of providing the website and rate limiting.
Optional email updates
If you choose to share an email address and consent to availability and occasional product updates, the site stores your normalized email address, consent record, Honey Chocolate Bar interest, confirmation status, and delivery metadata. A confirmation link is sent first, and the address is not confirmed until you take that second step.
Local storage
The product page uses one browser local-storage value to remember that you pressed its interest button. It does not place your email address there. You can remove this value by clearing site data in your browser.
Service providers
Cloudflare provides hosting, security, rate limiting, database storage, queues, private admin access, email routing, and transactional confirmation email. A dedicated email provider may be added before broader product-update campaigns begin; this policy will be updated first.
Retention
Unconfirmed email records are deleted after seven days. Confirmed records and daily aggregate counts are retained for up to two years after their latest activity. Lifetime aggregate interest totals may be kept to understand long-term product demand. Confirmation tokens expire after 24 hours and are stored only as one-way hashes.
Your choices
You can ignore a confirmation message and your pending record will expire. You can also ask to access, correct, or delete your email record by writing hello@honeychocolateco.com. Product-update emails will include a practical unsubscribe method.
Security and children
The site uses reasonable technical safeguards and limits the personal data it collects, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security. The site is not directed to children under 13, and Honey Chocolate Co. does not knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes
This policy will change when ordering, payments, analytics, or other material data practices are introduced. The effective date will be revised when that happens.
